Primary Purpose:

Coordinate, deliver, and support targeted instructional interventions for students in grades PK–5. Provide leadership and coaching to intervention staff to ensure effective, research-based practices that accelerate student learning and close achievement gaps.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Instructional and Program Management:

  1. Coordinate and deliver high-quality interventions for at-risk students based on campus and district expectations.

  2. Develop, implement, and monitor intervention schedules and instructional plans.

  3. Provide direct intervention services to small groups of students as needed.

  4. Model intervention lessons and provide instructional support to teachers and interventionists.

  5. Monitor and support the implementation of tiered instructional strategies (MTSS/RTI).

  6. Assist in the administration and analysis of universal screeners and progress monitoring assessments.

  7. Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrators to interpret data and adjust interventions to maximize student growth.

  8. Lead regular intervention team meetings to review student progress and determine next steps.

  9. Ensure alignment of intervention practices with district curriculum and assessment initiatives.

Student Growth and Development:

  1. Implement procedures and strategies that support the academic success of all students.

  2. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of student progress and intervention activities.

  3. Participate in problem-solving meetings and support the development of student intervention plans.

Communication:

  1. Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student progress and intervention plans.

  2. Facilitate professional learning sessions related to intervention best practices.

  3. Maintain confidentiality of student information.

Professional Growth and Development:

  1. Participate in professional development to improve knowledge and skills related to intervention practices.

  2. Remain current on research and best practices in intervention, assessment, and instruction.

Policy, Reports, and Law:

  1. Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and local board policy in the areas of assessment, special programs, and curriculum.

  2. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required.
