Job Title: Custodial Summer Help

 

2 POSITIONS FOR 6 HOURS A DAY

**Must be at least 15 years old** 

 


Primary Purpose:

Move and arrange classroom and office furniture in order to prep for summer cleaning. 

Qualifications:

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures

Ability to carry and move furniture (desks, chairs, tables, etc.)

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Assist with summer prep for cleaning, including moving and arranging tables and chairs.
  2. Move furniture within buildings as directed by supervisor.
  3. Assist custodial department 

Safety

  1. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, and climbing. 

 

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Posture: Frequent standing, sitting, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking, climbing stairs, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching, and overhead reaching
Lifting: Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis
Environment: Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, and dust; possible irregular hours; occasional prolonged hours
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress
